Neighbourhood Plan
Presenting the council's neighbourhood plan status and documents.
In 2013 Fillongley Parish Council decided to form a Neighbourhood Plan. This was enabled by the Localism Act 2011 that aimed to devolve power back to local communities. The Fillongley Neighbourhood Plan was created, voted for in a referendum, and adopted by NWBC as part of the local plan in 2019. It is used alongside other local and national policies, and since 2019 has been an important tool in shaping our Parish.
All Neighbourhood Plans should be reviewed every 5 years or in line with changes in policy. Since 2019, NWBC has a new local plan, and nationally there is a new National Planning Policy Framework 2024. So, our Fillongley Neighbourhood Plan is in the process of revision.
This adopted Fillongley Neighbourhood Plan (2019) can be viewed by clicking the link below.
The revised FNP has been subject to Regulation 16 Consultation by NWBC. It is now being independently examined before any formal adoption of the plan
