Defibrillator Map
Locations of defibrillators
This map shows the locations of defibrillator units within the council area to help residents understand their distribution. It also shows locations submitted by other local councils to build up a national map.
Please note, this map is not definitive and may contain errors. It should not be used for emergency purposes.
In case of emergency, dial 999.
ESSENTIAL pieces of information:
- If you see someone having a heart attack / cardiac arrest, phone 999
- IF you are within 300 metres of the Woodyard (the small Parish Council Car Park by the entrance to Bournebrook School), the ambulance control team will tell you to go and get the defibrillator…
- IF you are further away, they won’t mention it!! TELL THEM that you know there is one at the Woodyard and they will tell you to go and get it.
They will stay on the line and give you the access code when you are at the cabinet. - It is easy to use; it tells you what to do!
- If you are an adult you put the pads on as shown on the pictures.
- If it is for a child under 8, put one pad on their front and one on their back (this reduces the power and is more suitable for small people)
- If you are on your own, leave your patient and still go and get the defib; this is the only thing that will save a person who has had a cardiac arrest and you may be quicker than the ambulance!
